Frequently Asked Questions

Who's able to fly? Any age or weight limits?

There are no age limits - we welcome anyone who’s curious about paramotoring. There is no lower weight limit; if you're over 260 lbs, contact us before booking so we can make arrangements. These flights are introductory training experiences, not joyrides - and when conditions allow, you may get to try the controls during the flight. We want passengers who are genuinely interested in discovering whether the sport is right for them. If you have a disability or special needs, contact us and we’ll work with you to accommodate.

What's the route, and how high do we fly?

The route depends on your booked flight length and the weather. If there's a specific area in Saratoga Springs you’d like to overfly, tell us before the flight and we’ll try to include it when conditions allow. For locations farther from Saratoga Springs, we’d need to check weather there and a travel fee may apply. We typically fly between 10 and 1,000 feet, but we can go higher or lower based on your preference and conditions. We only fly in safe weather - if conditions change at the last minute, we'll postpone and reschedule you at no extra cost, and we'll contact you as early as we can when that happens.

What do I need to wear or bring?

Check the forecast before you come - it’s a bit cooler in the air at around 30 mph. Avoid loose clothing. Sunglasses help with the wind; we also have goggles if you need them. If you have long hair, tie it back (we have ties if you forget). Wear closed-toe shoes that stay on securely.

Can my friend or partner fly with me on the same machine?

No. Each tandem trike carries one pilot and one passenger. For two guests we can schedule two trikes and two pilots so you fly at the same time. When we’re close enough in the air, we use helmet comms so everyone can talk on the same channel during the flight.

What if I'm prone to motion sickness?

If you're prone to car sickness, you might feel motion sickness in the air. We have motion-sickness medication on hand; it often works best if taken about an hour before takeoff. Staying hydrated beforehand helps. Tell us as soon as you start to feel off - we can fly straighter with less aggressive turns, and we can save any more dynamic flying for the end of the flight once we know you're feeling good. We also have bags available if needed, and you'll be on the headset with the pilot the whole time.

Can I use my phone or an action camera during the flight?

Yes. We’ll provide a tether for your phone; any other camera should be tethered or on a wrist strap. We also film with a 360° camera and usually give you a short complimentary clip for social media. For the full flight video, you can add our video package at booking.
